We highly value and respect the privacy of the personal information we obtain from you when you use the Ossmo website, multi-model AI workspace, Create Image studio, Help Centre, and billing services (collectively, the "Service"), and we have created this Privacy Policy to inform you about how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.
By accessing and using the Service, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any of the provisions set forth in this Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the Service. This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, which together constitute the entire agreement between you and Ossmo.
This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Information and workspace data collected online through our authentication portal, dashboard, and official customer support channels. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Information That We Collect
The Personal Information we collect from users enables us to authenticate accounts, synchronize multi-model AI conversations, enforce plan limits, and verify payments. Here are the categories of information we gather:
Information Provided by You. During your registration and use of the Service via Email/Password or Google Sign-In, we collect your Full Name, Email Address, unique User ID (UID), authentication provider type, and encrypted password credentials. If you sign in with Google for the first time, we require you to confirm your full name and create a backup password (minimum 6 characters) so both login methods work seamlessly. If you upload a profile picture in Account Settings (PNG or JPG up to 5 MB), it is stored and associated with your profile.
Location and Device Metadata. When you sign up or log in, we resolve your IP address to determine your approximate Country and State/Region, and we record your browser's TimeZone along with account creation and last-login timestamps for security and fraud prevention. We never track your precise GPS coordinates.
Conversations, File Uploads, and Image Prompts. We store the messages you send, AI model responses, pinned chat flags, custom chat titles, image generation prompts and outputs in Create Image mode, and Help Centre AI support threads (saved with the Support: prefix). On paid plans (Standard, Pro, and Ultra), you may attach up to 8 supported files per message (images, PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, and source code within your plan's 3 MB, 5 MB, or 10 MB size cap). Pasting more than 150 words into the prompt box automatically converts the text into a .txt attachment card. All uploaded files are stored in encrypted cloud object storage so they remain accessible in your chat history.
Account Memory and Workspace Preferences. Paid plans allow you to enable Account Memory and save a personal summary about yourself (up to 150 words on Standard, 250 words on Pro, and 350 words on Ultra). When enabled, Ossmo includes this summary only when relevant to your chats. We also sync your typography preference (Satoshi, Inter, Geist, Instrument Sans, Figtree, or IBM Plex Sans), default AI model, reasoning effort level (Low, Medium, Max Effort), sidebar state, and behavior toggles.
Billing, Wallet Credits, and UPI Transaction Data
UPI Checkout Records. When you purchase Pay-as-you-go credits (₹1 = 1 Credit) or subscribe to a paid plan (Standard, Pro, or Ultra), we collect your billing name, billing email, unique Order ID, selected plan and billing cycle, subtotal, applicable taxes (18% IGST on Pay-as-you-go; GST included on subscription plans), 5.5% payment gateway fee, and payment verification status.
Unique Verification Paise. To automatically verify UPI QR payments within the 10-minute payment session, our system adds a random fractional paise amount (between ₹0.01 and ₹0.99) to your payable total and matches the exact amount against incoming UPI bank confirmations. All payments are completed inside your own UPI application (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, FamPay, or CRED); Ossmo never sees, collects, or stores your UPI PIN, bank account password, or card numbers.
Usage and Quota Tracking. To maintain accurate credit balances and enforce plan limits, we track input tokens, output tokens, cached tokens, model-wise credit expenditure, daily file upload counts, and rolling 24-hour free message timestamps (15 free messages per 24 hours on Free Models).
How We Use Browser Local Storage
Ossmo does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We utilize your browser's native localStorage and sessionStorage strictly to deliver a responsive workspace:

How We Share and Process Information
No Sale of Personal Data. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, chat threads, or uploaded files to advertisers or data brokers.
AI Model Providers. When you submit a prompt or attachment, the necessary conversation context, prompt text, optional Account Memory summary, and attached files are routed to the API provider of the AI model you selected (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Meta Llama, xAI Grok, DeepSeek, Z.ai GLM, Qwen, Perplexity, Moonshot Kimi, Mistral AI, Cohere, Amazon Nova, NVIDIA, Black Forest Labs FLUX, or Free Models) solely to generate and stream your response.
Cloud Infrastructure and Legal Compliance. We use enterprise cloud databases, authentication services, edge routing, and object storage to host the Service. We may disclose account records only when required to comply with applicable Indian law, judicial proceedings, or lawful government requests.
Data Export, Retention, and 7-Day Account Deletion
Self-Service Data Controls. You can manage your data at any time inside Dashboard → Settings → Data & Privacy and Settings → Memory:
- Export Chats as JSON: Click Export to download a portable
.jsonarchive containing all of your saved conversations. - Clear Memory & Clear Chats: You may clear your Account Memory summary or click Clear all to permanently erase every chat thread from your account.
- Account Deletion & 7-Day Cooldown Policy: When you select Delete account, all of your chat threads are erased immediately and your account is placed into a mandatory 7-day (1-week) permanent removal queue. During this 1-week period, your email address is locked and cannot be used to log in or create a new Ossmo account. Once the 7-day window concludes, your account profile is permanently purged from our active servers, except for transaction records required for tax and legal compliance.
Data Security and Children's Privacy
Security Safeguards. All communication between your browser and Ossmo is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS. Database access is restricted by authenticated user tokens and strict security rules, and potentially harmful file extensions (such as executables, scripts, and archives) are blocked prior to upload.
Children's Privacy. The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. Users under 18 years of age may use the Service and initiate UPI payments only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
